Bear Beats: Episode 30, For Competition Through Mar. 30

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Bear Beats is a weekly release that will be posted on Mondays to provide a look back at the past week of action and to preview the events for the upcoming week. The 30th episode for the 2025-26 year will feature men's and women's outdoor track and field, men's and women's tennis, baseball, softball, and golf.

On the horizon:
 
No. 5/7 Golf
  • WashU wraps up the two-day WashU Spring Invite on Monday, Mar. 30
  • The tournament is taking place at the Crown Pointe Golf Club in Farmington, Mo.
  • After day one, the Bears "A" team is in 2nd place

No. 9 Men's Tennis
  • The Bears will have one more road match this weekend before returning home.
  • WashU will travel to the Windy City to face off against No. 3 Chicago on Saturday, Apr. 4.
  • First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Stagg Tennis Courts
 
No. 10 Baseball
  • WashU remains at home this weekend for another UAA series.
  • New York University pays a visit to Kelly for a four-game series, beginning with a single game on Friday, Apr. 3 at 3 p.m.
  • The teams will then play a doubleheader on Saturday, Apr. 4 starting at 12 p.m.
  • The Violets and Bears wrap up the weekend with a single game on Sunday, Apr. 5
  • Last season, the teams split the UAA series, 2-2, in New York.

No. 12 Softball
  • WashU stays home this weekend for a UAA series against New York University.
  • The teams will play a single game on Friday, Apr. 3 at 3 p.m.
  • The Violets and Bears will conclude the three-game conference series with a doubleheader on Saturday, Apr. 4 with first pitched scheduled for noon.
  • WashU swept the season series last year on the road.
