ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Washington University in St. Louis women's outdoor track and field team wrapped up their annual WashU Invite on Saturday, with all the track events and the remaining field ones. The meet was smaller and fewer individuals than the WashU Distance Carnival that finished on Friday.
Prior to the start of the track events, the WashU senior class was honored with a special recognition ceremony.
No team scores were kept.
Top Finishes:
- Hammer Throw
- Senior Kally Mack was runner-up with a throw of 43.16m
- Shot Put
- Senior Jenae Bothe claimed the win with her throw of 13.95m
- Javelin
- First-year Harper Karr finished in fifth place with her throw of 33.28m
- Long Jump
- Junior Maya Davis was ninth with her jump of 5.04m
- Triple Jump
- Junior Sofia Rosensweig finished fourth with her leap of 10.93m on her final attempt
- Pole Vault
- Discus
- Bothe finished fifth in this event with a throw of 39.16m
- Mack also finished in the top-10 in eighth place with a throw of 35.04m
- 4x100m
- 1500m
- 400m
- Spytek claimed the win with a time of 54.72 while sophomore Quinn Bird was third with her time of 55.66
- Juniors Cate Christopher and Caroline Echols went sixth and eighth with times of 56.63 and 57.14
- First-year Kate Delia and sophomore Kalena Riemer also finished in the top 15 with times of 57.77 and 58.24 to finish 11th and 13th, respectively

- Wright was runner-up with her time of 11.86
- Sophomore Hailey Weir was eighth with her time of 12.32 while junior Olivia Theisen was 12th with a time of 12.68
- 800m
- 400m Hurdles
- 200m
- Wier was fifth with a time of 24.84 with Coric claiming eighth place in a tie of 25.07
- 4x400m
- The team of Christopher, Coric, Spytek and Weir won with a time of 3:46.51
- The team of Bird, Delia, Echols, and Wagner were third in a time of 3:50.53
WashU will have a quick break before returning to action on Friday, Apr. 10 at the UW Platteville Invite.
