Bear Beats: Episode 16, For Competition Through Dec. 7

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Bear Beats is a weekly release that will be posted on Mondays to provide a look back at the past week of action and to preview the events for the upcoming week. The 16th episode for the 2025-26 year will feature women's soccer, men's and women's swimming and diving, men's and women's basketball, and men's and women's track and field.

On the horizon:
 
No. 4 Men's Basketball
  • After starting the season off 7-0, all at home, WashU will hit the road for the first time this season when it travels to Terre Haute, Ind. on Tuesday, Dec. 9 when it visits Rose-Hulman.
  • The contest with the Fightin' Engineers is set for 6:30 p.m. ET.
  • The two teams played a year ago inside the Field House with the Bears coming away with an 84-59.

No. 19 Women's Basketball
  • WashU played a quick game before exams on Monday, Dec. 8 against Westminster (Mo.)
  • The Bears scored early and often and the defense held the Blue Jays to the lowest points allowed in nearly a year and a half.
