ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Bear Beats is a weekly release that will be posted on Mondays to provide a look back at the past week of action and to preview the events for the upcoming week. The third episode for the 2025-26 year will feature men's and women's soccer, volleyball, football, men's and women's cross country, golf, and men's and women's tennis.

No. 1 Women's Soccer
- WashU has a pair of road matches on the week at North Central and Trine.
- On Friday, Sept. 12, the Bears travel to Naperville to take on the North Central Cardinals
- Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
- In the lone meeting all-time, WashU picked up a 5-1 win at Francis Olympic Field in 2024.

- The Bears remain on the road on Sunday when they travel to Angola, Ind. for their contest with the Thunder of Trine.
- Game time is scheduled for 11 a.m. ET
- Last season, WashU scored three goals in the first half and five in the second enroute to its 8-1 win over Trine.

No. 10 Volleyball
- The Bears are back home this weekend with a pair of matches on Saturday, Sept. 13 in the Field House.
- WashU will first face Hendrix with first serve scheduled for 1 p.m.
- The two teams have faced each other eight times with the Bears holding a 5-3 series lead.
- WashU won the previous two matchups, both in 2023.
- Next up is the Panthers of Greenville at 3:30 on Saturday afternoon.
- Match time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
- WashU is 19-0 all-time against the Panthers, including a 3-0 sweep last season in Greenville.
- Prior to the WashU/Hendrix match, the Warriors and Panthers will play a neutral site contest at 10:30 a.m.

Men's Soccer
- WashU has just one match this week on Friday, Sept. 12 on the road at Rhodes.
- Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. in Memphis.
- The Bears earned a 2-0 win last season at home after scoring twice in the first half.

Golf
- WashU is on the course at the Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 8-9, for the UAA Championships.
- The three-round match play event is being hosted by Rochester and features the Bears along with Carnegie Mellon, Emory, and NYU.

- The Bears will then travel to Palm Springs, Calif. on Saturday, Sept. 13 and Sunday, Sept. 14 for the Golfweek DIII Preview.
Women's Tennis
- Coming off their NCAA National Championship last spring, WashU will see its first action of the season this Friday, Sept. 12 and Saturday, Sept. 13 when it travels the short distance to St. Charles for the Lindenwood Duals.
- The two-day event will also feature SIUE.
Men's Tennis
- WashU will split its team this weekend sending players to the River Forest Clay Invite in DeKalb, Ill. while also having players play in the WashU Invite on campus at the Tao Tennis Center.
- The Bears will be sending a contingent to the annual clay court event hosted by Northern Illinois on both Friday, Sept. 12 and Saturday, Sept. 13.
- The home WashU Invite kicks off at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13.
