AUSTIN, Texas – For the first time in program history, two from the Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis program have earned College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America honors in the same season, the organization announced on Tuesday.
Senior
Eliana Hanna earned a spot on the first team while junior
Eleanor Archer was named to the second team.
Hanna recently graduated with a degree in finance and was the Bears' No. 1 singles player for the majority of the season. An All-American in both singles and doubles, Hanna finished her singles season with a 21-10 overall record including 12-6 at No. 1 singles, reaching the NCAA Quarterfinal. In doubles, Hanna had a 29-6 record with sophomore partner
Ally Lin, reaching the NCAA Semifinal.
Archer, a biology major, achieved All-America status in both singles and doubles, reaching the NCAA Semifinal with doubles sophomore partner
Caitlin Bui. Archer and Bui finished the year with a 27-9 record including 16-6 at No. 1 doubles. In singles, Archer had a 20-7 record including 11-5 at No. 1 singles.
In 2026, the Bears reached the NCAA title match for the second-straight year, finishing as the national runner-up. It was just the second time in program history women's tennis has made it past the quarterfinal round, after winning the national title in 2025.
