ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team opened its 2026 fall slate on Friday afternoon at the Lindenwood Invite, which featured the Lions as well as SIUE.
 
Singles
Senior Emily Chiasson beat SIUE's Jacinta Villalobos 6-2, 6-4.
 
Doubles
Senior Eleanor Archer and junior Caitlin Bui defeated SIUE's Jessica Li and Elena Palioura, 6-4.
 
Juniors Ally Lin and Sam Slowik beat SIUE's Chloe Koons and Mya Bowe, 6-3.
 
First-year Mia Yin and sophomore Maddie Morgan fell to SIUE's Valerii Oleksyn and Emma Baker, 6-2
 
Graduate student Leila Epstein and Lin lost to Li and Palioura, 2-6, while Slowik and first-year Emilie Lew lost to Koons and Bowe, 1-6.
 
Yin and Morgan beat SIUE's Emerson Metzger and Aliya Rector, 6-3.
 
Epstein and first-year Cassan Li lost to Lindenwood's Paola Garcia and Megan Caffin, 0-6.
 
Sophomore Lily Brecknock and Lew fell to Lindenwood's Fabiana Labrador and Sofia Loglo, 3-6.
 
Archer and Bui defeated Garcia and Caffin, 6-3.
 
Li and Brecknock lost to Loglo and Labrador 6-7 (6-8).
 
The Bears wrap up play at Lindenwood's tournament tomorrow beginning at 9 a.m.
