ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Washington University in St. Louis men's soccer program announces the hiring of Gavin Kalish as the program's newest full-time assistant coach.
Kalish joins the Bears after spending two seasons as an assistant coach at nearby Div. I Saint Louis University. In this role, he managed practice activities, match preparation, team travel, scheduling, and equipment. Additionally, he led the data analysis and film breakdown.
During the 2025 campaign, the Billikens claimed the A-10 title, receiving an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. SLU eventually made it to the Men's College Cup, falling in the national semifinals to NC State.
While working with the Billikens, Kalish was also the Director of Junior Programs for the St. Louis Stars Soccer Club. There, he planned all aspects of training sessions while providing in-game coaching and tactical instruction. He also recruited and evaluated players through ID sessions.
Additionally, he was a youth soccer coach from 2021-24 with Lou Fusz Soccer Club.
Kalish is a two-time graduate of nearby Maryville University, where he played on the men's soccer team. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Rawlings Sports Business Management in 2023 and an MBA in 2024.
Kalish begins his duties with the Bears on March 4.
