UNITED SOCCER COACHES RELEASE 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Washington University in St. Louis men's soccer team earned the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2025-26 academic year, the organization recently announced.
 
The Bears posted the fourth-highest grade-point average among Division III teams with a 3.7. WashU had its best season in nearly 20 years, reaching the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2007.
 
To receive this award, teams must post a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2025-26 academic year.
 
In total, 326 men's teams were honored and WashU was one of 175 schools that had both their men's and women's teams recognized.
 
The Bears checked in at No. 14 in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll and open the 2026 season at home on Tuesday, September 1 at 4 p.m. against Millikin.
