ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis senior Eliana Hanna finished as the singles runner up at the 2025 ITA Central Regional and earns a bid to the upcoming ITA Cup in October.
 
 It was the deepest a Bear has gone in the main singles draw since 2016 when WashU crowned a singles champion.
 
Against Chicago's Sarena Biria in the final, Hanna won the first set 6-2 before falling 2-6, 4-6 in the final two sets.
 
In the semifinal, Hanna defeated Kenyon's Kiara Komlodi 7-5, 6-3 to advance to the final.
 
Hanna, who was the 2025 ITA National Player to Watch, greatly improved on her 2024 run, which concluded in the Round of 32.

The ITA Cup will be held at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga. from October 16-19.
