Decatur, Ill. – The Washington University in St. Louis men's track and field team won nine events at the 2023 Big Blue Friday Night Invite hosted by Millikin University.

Sophomore
Jamie Olson won the 3,000m steeplechase, racing to a time of 9:57.86, the lone runner to break the 10 minute mark.
Senior
Harry Mills finished second in the 100m in 11.12 while sophomore
Samuel Pan took third with a time of 11.17.
Senior
Marcus-Jay Wilkes won the 400m, racing to a time of 48.67 which ranks ninth in program history while junior
Alex Djetto took second in 49.02. Junior
Drew Sidamon-Eristoff finished third with a time of 49.86.
Junior
William Houser won the 800 with a time of 1:50.77 which ranks ninth nationally while graduate
Arthur Santoro took second in 1:50.80 which is tied for 10
th nationally and third in program history. Senior
Jackson Cox finished fourth in 1:53.64 and first-year
James Corbett took fifth in 1:54.01.
Junior
Grant Lane took second in the 400m hurdles, running a time of 55.43 which ranks 10
th in program history.
Wilkes finished second in the 200m, racing to a time of 22.02.
Junior
Frankie Lynch won the 1,500m run with a time of 3:52.52 while junior
Cullen Capuano took second in 3:53.56.
The 4x400 team of Wilkes, Djetto, Cox and Santoro won with a time of 3:17.70.

Conor Daly took second in the 5,000m, racing a time of 15:03.62 while first-year
Alexander Bullard took third in 15:10.31. Sophomore

First-year
Jalen Dural won the high jump, clearing 1.95m which ranks 10
th in program history and is tied for 46
th nationally while senior
Michael Snyder finished second with a jump of 1.90m.
Graduate
Matt Moore won the long jump, hitting a mark of 7.03m while senior
Abayomi Awoyomi took third with a jump of 6.54m. Dural finished fourth with a mark of 6.37m.
Awoyomi then won the triple jump with a mark of 14.12m. Dural took second with a jump of 13.20m.
First-year
Hayden Kunkel won the pole vault, clearing 4.55m. Junior
Tommaso Maiocco finished tied for third with a jump of 4.40m.
The Bears head to Indiana-Bloomington's Billy Hayes Invite on Friday.
