Jeff Stiles and assistant coach
Lane Lohr have been named to top Midwest Region awards.
Stiles, who just finished his 17th season at the helm of the WashU track and field programs, was named the Midwest Women's Head Coach of the Year. This season, the Bears claimed their eighth-straight UAA title and finished as the NCAA Div. III National Runner-Up. He had 15 members of the women's program named All-Midwest Region last week.
Lohr, who completed his 18th season with the Bears and works with the pole vaulters, saw four members of the men's team earn points at the UAA meet, including graduate
Tommaso Maiocco, who claimed the UAA outdoor title. He also saw four men's pole vaulters not only earn a spot at the NCAA Div. III National Championships but each one earned All-American honors, including Maiocco who finished as national runner-up.
