KANSAS CITY, Mo. - For the second time in his career, senior
Owen Culver, of the Washington University in St. Louis men's soccer team has been named to an All-Region team, as announced by United Soccer Coaches. After a strong second half of the season, Culver earned a spot on the All-Region VIII Third Team.
Culver was named to the All-Region VIII Second Team in 2021.
An All-University Athletic Association First Team honoree, Culver led the Bears in several offensive categories. Proving to be WashU's top offensive threat, Culver topped the team in points (16), shots (54), shots on goal (23), goals (seven), and game-winning goals (three).
Culver notched a season-high of two goals against Carnegie Mellon (10/20) and Greenville (10/25). Additionally, Culver recorded a season-high seven shots against Rochester (10/29) and four shots on goal against Greenville (10/25).
Furthermore, Culver was named the UAA Offensive Athlete of the Week on October 23.
Culver started 12 matches and appeared in 13. Culver generated 1026 minutes of action, while playing all 90 minutes on five different occasions.
Adding to his already impressive resume, Culver was named to College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team this season.
The Bears will return to the pitch in the fall of 2024.
