Rauck Joins 100-Win Club as No. 9 Women's Tennis Tops No. 23 Case 7-2 in UAA Quarterfinal

Altamonte Springs, Fla., April 25, 2014 – Senior Corinne Rauck became the 21st player in school history to surpass 100 career wins as she helped lead the No. 9-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team to a 7-2 win over No. 23 Case Western Reserve University in the quarterfinal of the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championship Friday morning.

Rauck teamed with freshman Rebecca Ho for an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles to reach 100 career wins. She also added a three-set victory (6-3, 5-7, 6-4) win at No. 6 singles in the match.

Up Next: Washington U. improved to 16-4 with the win and advances to face No. 8 Carnegie Mellon University at 2 p.m. (ET) Saturday in the UAA Championship semifinal. The Tartans earned a 6-3 victory over the Bears Feb. 28. This will be the third year in a row the two teams have played at the UAA Championship. Carnegie Mellon defeated Washington U. 6-3 in the semifinal round a year ago.
