UAA RELEASE
WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The University Athletic Association (UAA) announced its 2025 Women's Soccer All-Association Team on Tuesday morning and the No. 1 Bears were well-represented with seven players receiving honors.
Sophomore
Olivia Clemons headlined the awards for WashU, earning UAA Offensive Player of the Year for the second year in a row, in addition to earning a first team nod. Senior
Grace Ehlert and junior
Sophie Viscovich both earned a spot on the first team while senior
Ella Koleno and sophomore
Kate Martin were named to the second team. Junior
Madi Foley and sophomore
Kassidy Lanthier both earned an honorable mention.
Clemons is the first Bear to earn a major award in back-to-back seasons since Gabbie Cesarone was named Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 and 2021 (no action in 2020 due to COVID). She is the lone forward in WashU history to earn the same major award in consecutive seasons. Additionally, this marks Clemons' second-straight first team honor.
Heading into the first round of the NCAA Tournament Clemons has scored 15 goals and recorded three assists for a total of 33 points, leading the UAA in both. She has played in all 18 games thus far, providing a crucial spark off the bench for the Bears. Three of Clemons' goals have been game winners and she leads the team with 41 shots on goal.
This marks Ehlert's third-straight All-UAA honor and second first team nod in a row. The forward is second in the UAA with 12 goals and is third among UAA players with 26 points on the year. Three of Ehlert's goals were game-winners and she has recorded 22 shots on goal this season. Additionally, she has made the lone penalty kick of the year for WashU.
For the third year in a row, Viscovich receives all-conference honors and this year is the first on the first team as she received honorable mentions as a first-year and sophomore. An anchor in the mid-field, Viscovich has scored four goals, including one game-winner, and dished out eight assists, which ranks fourth among UAA players.
This is Koleno's second All-UAA honor, having earned a second team nod as a sophomore. The forward leads the UAA with 10 assists on the year and has six goals for a total of 22 points. Three of Koleno's goals have been game-winners.
This mark's Martin's first-career all-conference honor. She has played in 17 games with 16 starts and scored four goals with two assists for 10 points. Two of Martin' goals have been game-winners and she leads the team with 1,248 minutes played.
This is also Foley's first-career nod after scoring four goals, including two game-winners, and recording three assists. She has played in 17 games with 16 starts and tallied 11 points on the year.
A transfer to WashU this season, Lanthier earns her first-career honor after playing in 14 games with 12 starts, totaling 1,086 minutes. She's allowed just five goals and built a record of 10-0-2 which includes four shutouts and four combined shutouts. Lanthier has made 16 saves on the year.
The Bears will host an NCAA Regional this weekend, welcoming Loras, North Central and Wilmington for a Saturday-Sunday affair. WashU will play Wilmington on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 11 a.m. The winner of that game will play the winner of Loras and North Central on Sunday at 1 p.m.
