ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team, which checked in at No. 1 in the IWSOC/United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll, begins its 2026 season on Tuesday, September 1 at 7 p.m. against Greenville on Francis Olympic Field.
 
The Bears are on the hunt for their third-straight national title, looking to join UC San Diego as the lone teams to win three-straight women's soccer national titles. UC San Diego won three titles from 1995 to 1997.

Schedule
After the season-opener on Tuesday, September 1 against Greenville, the Bears hit the road for a three-game stretch, beginning on Friday, September 4 at Westminster at 6 p.m. On Sunday, September 6, WashU takes the trip to Simpson College for a 1 p.m. match and rounds out the road games on Thursday, September 10 at Rose-Hulman at 7 p.m. ET.
 
The Bears begin a four-game homestand on Sunday, September 13 against Elmhurst, which will be senior day. On Saturday, September 19, WashU hosts UC Santa Cruz as part of a tournament at home and will go on to play either Rhodes or DePauw on Sunday, September 20 at 1:30 p.m.
 
On Wednesday, September 23, WashU faces off with Millikin at 7 p.m. Prior to kickoff beginning at 5 p.m., there will be a University-wide celebration of the Bears' 2025-26 Directors' Cup win, the first-ever in school history.
 
WashU closes out September and begins October on the road, starting with a 7 p.m. ET match at Centre on Friday, September 25.
 
UAA play begins on Saturday, October 3 as the Bears travel to Brandeis for a 2:30 p.m. ET match-up. The following day, Sunday, October 4, WashU plays at MIT, who checked in at No. 8 in the preseason national poll, at 1 p.m. ET.
 
WashU is home again on Saturday, October 10 against Case Western Reserve University at 12:30 p.m., which will be The Hidden Opponent (THO) and Love Wins games. CWRU checked in at No. 11 in the preseason poll.
 
In one final non-conference game of the year, WashU hosts Illinois Wesleyan at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13.
 
The Bears make the trip to Carnegie Mellon, which ranked No. 21 in the preseason poll, on Saturday, October 17 for a 1:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
 
WashU returns to Francis Olympic Field for its final regular-season home games, starting with Rochester on Friday, October 23 at 7:30 p.m., which will be Youth and Campers Appreciation Day as well as the Hispanic Heritage Month Game. On Sunday, October 25, the Bears face off with Emory, which ranked No. 2 in the preseason poll.

Wrapping up the final regular-season contests, WashU heads east one more time on Saturday, October 31 for a 5:30 p.m. ET game against NYU. On Saturday, November 7, the Bears make the trip to Chicago, which ranked No. 3 in the preseason poll, for a 1:30 p.m. game.
 
Personnel
Forwards
WashU returns three of its five top goal scorers, including 2025 Division III National Player of the Year Olivia Clemons. Last season Clemons, now a junior, led the team with 17 goals and 40 points, scoring three game-winners along the way. She was also named the Most Outstanding Offensive Player of the NCAA Championship for the second year in a row.
 
Junior Cami Colpitts netted nine goals for the Bears, including the game-winner against Emory in the national championship match. Sophomore Heidi Fesler scored six goals and had six assists and senior Madi Foley scored five goals and has three assists.
 
Adding depth to the forward position is senior Julia Moore, who played in 15 games last season as well as first-year Kate Loudamy.
 
Midfielders
Senior Sophie Viscovich, a United Soccer Coaches Fourth Team All-American last year, scored four goals and dished out nine assists in 2025. Junior Kate Martin, sophomore Monica Morales-Martinez and senior Jadyn Aling combined for seven goals last season from the midfield position.
 
Senior Anna Rosato, sophomores Annika Park, Grace Lynch, Lauren Simon, Ridley Newton, Noelle Dolan and Maya Stevenson all return with experience on the pitch. Additionally, graduate transfer Ana DiMaria (Mizzou), junior transfer Emily Fox (SLU) and first-year Muriel Gamble add depth to the position.
 
Defenders
Seniors Keira Smyser, Allie Goulding and Regan Cannon were a large part of the Bears' defense last season, along with juniors Addison Soroka, Alexandra Karolak and Sophia Smith. In 2025, the Bears defense allowed just nine goals all season and posted 15 shutouts.
 
Sophomore Chandler Davey will join the Bears' defense after being sidelined with an injury in her first season. Sophomore transfer Ashle Reese (Washington State), along with first-years Grace Condon, Grace Harper and Soren Wilson add depth and skill to the Bears' defense.
 
Goalkeepers
Junior Kassidy Lanthier was the Bears' starting keeper on the 2025 national title team, earning NCAA All-Tournament Team Honors as well as a UAA Honorable Mention. She finished with a record of 15-0-3, recording six solo shutouts and five combined shutouts and finishing with a .039 goals-against average.
 
Fellow senior Charlotte Shapiro and juniors Suzie Green and Heidi Schultz round out the goalkeepers. Green earned six wins and two solo shutouts as a sophomore in 2025.
