Cullen Capuano, of the No. 17 Washington University in St. Louis men's cross country team, claimed all All-America honors. Capuano registered a time of 25:09.5. In the field of 32 teams at the NCAA Championship race, the Bears took 17th at Blue Spring High School, Saturday, November 18.
Excluding the COVID-19 Pandemic year in 2020, this marks the 14th straight year that the Bears have finished inside of the top-18.
Pomona-Pitzer won the NCAA Championship with 158 points. University of Wisconsin-La Crosse took second (159 points), while North Central College (169 points) earned third. WashU generated a total of 440 points for a 17th-place finish.

Matthew Hornung was the next Bear to cross the finish line. Hornung notched a time of 25:46.2, good for 104th overall.
Junior
Alexander Gadin finished his 2023 distance campaign as he turned in a time of 26:02.6, which earned Gadin 155th.
The WashU distance runners will return to competition in the fall of 2024.
