Dave Reinhardt began as the Interim Head Coach in 2021 after three seasons as an assistant coach for the Washington University in St. Louis women's golf program.
In 2025, the Bears finished fifth at th NCAA Championships. Senior Sydney Kuo was named a First Team All-American for the fourth-straight year. Junior Tiffany Chan was named a Second Team All-American and sophomore Amy Beanblossom earned an Honorable Mention. Additionally, Reinhardt was named the Central Region Coach of the Year.
Following the championships, Kuo was named the UAA Player of the Year for the fourth-straight year, becoming the first person in UAA history to win the honor more than twice. She also went on to earn CSC Academic All-America honors for the second year in a row. Adding onto her legacy, Kuo was named the recipient of the 2025 Division III Inkster Award from the Women's Golf Coaches Association. The Inkster Award recognizes the highest-ranked women's collegiate golfer in her final year of NCAA eligibility. The award is presented separately to the top Division I, II and III players. The recipient must be academically eligible per NCAA rules and have played a minimum of 12 rounds during the year.
In 2024, junior Sydney Kuo finished tied for third at the NCAA Championships, marking her second year in the top five at nationals. Kuo earned CSC Academic All-America honors and was a WGCA All-American Scholar for the third-straight year. Kuo three-peated as the UAA Player of the Year, setting conference history as the lone player to achieve this honor more than twice.
In 2023, the Bears finished as the national runner-up, marking the highest finish in program history. Senior Annie Mascot won the individual national championship for the first time in program history. Sophomoe Sydney Kuo finished tied for second overall. For the stellar season, Reinhardt was named WGCA National Coach of the Year.
Kuo was named the Division III Ping WGCA Player of the Year, becoming the third player in program history to win the honor. She was also named a DIII Honda Athlete of the Year Finalist.
On July 14th, 2022, Reinhardt was named the Bears' full-time Head Coach. In May 2023, Reinhardt was named the Central Region Coach of the Year.Â
During the 2021-22 season, Reinhardt guided the Bears to a 10th-place finish at the NCAA Championship, producing All-Americans in junior Annie Mascot, sophomore Krystina Wilson and first-year Sydney Kuo. Additionally, Kuo was named UAA Player of the Year and UAA Rookie of the Year while Mascot earned Second Team All-UAA honors.
During the spring season, the Bears finished third at the UAA Championship and won the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling while during the fall season, WashU took fifth at the Division III Fall Invite and won the IWU Classic.
Academically, six student-athletes were named Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars: Kuo, Mascot, Gwynnie Lee, Paige Warren, Caraline Oakley and Emmy Sammons.
In Reinhardt's three seasons with the Bears, WashU has set a school-record for scoring average, 18-hole and 36-hole, and also recorded seven tournament victories.
Reinhardt's second season with the Bears was cut short due to COVID-19, with the Bears finishing the ranked No. 2 in the WGCA National Poll and on Golfstat. WashU won its first three tournaments to open the fall season – I-70 Dual, Rhodes Classic and DIII NCAA Preview – and was ranked fifth in NCAA Division III with a school-record low scoring average of 307.64. The Bears also set school records for 18-holes (281) and 36-holes (574) at Rhodes.
Freshman Annie Mascot was named the WGCA National and Rookie of the Year, while senior Samantha Haubenstock joined Mascot on the first team. WashU was the lone team in Division III with a pair of first-team All-Americans.Â
In his first season, WashU placed 11th at the NCAA Tournament and reached No. 1 in the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) National Poll on Oct. 1, 2018. The Bears totaled four tournament wins, and three individuals finished the year ranked in the top-75 Division III golfers according to Golfstat. WashU also set several program-bests including the lowest round, lowest 36-hole score, and the lowest 72-hole score (1,276 at the NCAA Division III National Championship). In addition, the Bears posted a then program-best scoring average at 310.24.
Reinhardt is the co-founder and lead instructor at Next Step Golf Academy in St. Louis while also serving as the assistant golf professional at Tapawingo National Golf Club.
He has led the Tapawingo PGA Junior League Teams for the past five seasons, rising most recently in 2018 to qualify for the final four matches of the Gateway PGA Region.
Reinhardt was the tournament coordinator and golf services manager for the Fox Run Golf Club in Eureka, Mo. He directed 60 championships, competitions and outings.
The St. Louis resident has also served as a golf professional at Jacksonville Golf & Country Club and oversaw the club’s junior golf camps and clinics. Reinhardt also helped reestablish the Summer Junior Golf Program at St. John’s Golf & Country Club.
He graduated from Truman State University with a bachelor’s in science. Reinhardt and his wife, Jennifer, have one daughter, Reese.
