Kuo Named Recipient of WGCA Inkster Award

WGCA RELEASE

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla.
– Recent graduate Sydney Kuo is the recipient of the 2025 Division III Inkster Award, as announced by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) on Thursday afternoon. She is the first person from WashU to receive the award since its inception in 2020.

The Inkster Award recognizes the highest-ranked women's collegiate golfer in her final year of NCAA eligibility. The award is presented separately to the top Division I, II and III players. The recipient must be academically eligible per NCAA rules and have played a minimum of 12 rounds during the year.

This award caps off an illustrious career for Kuo at WashU. In her time with the Bears, she earned UAA Player of the Year four times, marking the lone player in conference history to receive the honor more than twice. She is a four-time First Team All-American which is only the second time in program history a golfer has achieved that feat.

Additionally, Kuo was the 2023 PING WGCA Player of the Year and the DIII Honda Athlete of the Year finalist. As a senior, Kuo finished seventh at the NCAA Championships, marking her third top-10 finish at the championships.

In May, Kuo graduated with a bachelor's degree in economics and strategy with minors in business analytics and computer science.
