KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Basketball Coaches announced its 2024-25 NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards and NABC Honors Court on Thursday, which represent outstanding achievement in the classroom by men's college basketball teams and student-athletes.

With an average cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.52, the Bears earned the Team Academic Excellence Award for the 13
th-straight season, having earned the award every year since its inception in 2012-13. To earn this award, basketball programs must have completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Additionally, five players were named to the NABC Honors Court –Â
Calvin Kapral (data science),
Hayden Doyle (finance and psychology),
Kyle Beedon (data science),
Will Grudzinski (economics) and
Yogi Oliff (finance). To make it on to the NABC Honors Court, a player must be a junior, senior or graduate student with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

For the 2024-25 academic year, more than 2,400 players earned a spot on the NABC Honors Court and nearly 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards.
