IRVING, Texas – Twelve members of the Washington University in St. Louis football team were named to the National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society, the organization announced on Wednesday.
To receive this honor, players must be seniors who will graduate this spring/summer, must have completed their final year of eligibility, must maintain a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 or higher on a 4.0 scale, and must have been starters or contributors during the 2023 season. A group of 2,532 players from 339 schools qualified this year, setting a new record for the number of members in a single year during the program's 19-year history. In total, the initiative has now honored 20,946 student-athletes since its inception.
