TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Continuing its indoor slate, the No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's track and field team made the trip to Terre Haute, Ind. to compete in Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology's Friday Spikes Series #3, Friday, January 26. Out of 16 scored events, WashU won 11. The Bears won the meet with 261 points.
The Bears competed alongside RHIT, St. Mary-of-the-Woods, Belhaven University, Hanover College, Franklin College, and Earlham College.
Friday's Top Finishers:
60 Meters:
200 Meters:
- WashU secured four of the top six times in the 200-meter race
- Nicole Stewart claimed the event victory with a time of 25.80
- Jasmine Wright grabbed third (26.24), while Lauren Gay collected fifth (26.62)
- Maya Davis posted a time of 26.64, to earn sixth
400 Meters:
- The Bears went one, two, and three in the 400-meter
- Adding another win to her resume, Emma Kelley bested the 400-meter field as she crossed the finish line with a mark of 57.12
- Kylie Spytek took runner-up with a time of 58.70
- Cate Christopher secured third (59.24)
800 Meters:
5,000 Meters:
- Avery McCammon, the lone WashU participant, won the 5,000-meter race with a mark of 18:17.58
60 Meter Hurdles:
- The Bears had a pair of athletes in the 60-meter hurdle final
- Charis Riebe claimed runner-up with a time of 10.00
- Holland Kantar registered a mark of 10.73, good for sixth
Shot Put:

- Jenae Bothe welcomed her second event win of the day in the weight throw, earning a mark of 14.37m
- Mikayla Wise grabbed runner-up with a throw of 14.05m
- Taylor Simpson (12.68m) took sixth
