WashU Women's Track & Field Kicks Off Outdoor Season At CMU Open

FAYETTE, Mo. – The Washington University in St. Louis women's track and field team made the quick turnaround from the indoor season to the outdoor season on Saturday at the 2026 Central Methodist Open.

No team scores were kept.

Top Finishes:
  • 100m
    • Junior Maya Davis finished fifth with a time of 12.38
  • 400m
    • A trio of first-years finished in the top-10, led by Ayisat Jimoh and her time of 1:00.47 to finish third.
    • Alexandra Leiser was seventh in a time of 1:04.40 and Camilla Royal was ninth with a time of 1:04.94
  • 800m
    • WashU had nine of the top 10 finishers, including the top seven.
    • Sophomore Kalena Riemer was the winner with a time of 2:14.80 and senior Cate Stevens was second with a time of 2:15.74.
    • Sophomore Ellie Cain was third with her time of 2:15.99
    • First-year Lucy Johnson was fourth (2:17.36) and senior Isabel Erdman was fifth (2:18.98).

    • The team of Coric, sophomore Quinn Bird, Weir, and Spytek finished first with their time of 3:51.62
  • Pole Vault

    • Senior Kally Mack finished fourth with a throw of 34.34m
  • Hammer
    • Mack also finished fourth in this event with a throw of 42.76m
  • Javelin
    • First-year Haper Karr finished seventh with her throw of 32.75m
       
WashU will be at home next weekend when it hosts both the WashU Distance Carnival on Thursday, March 26th and Friday, March 27 as well as the WashU Invite on Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28. All events will take place at Francis Olympic Field.
