Lane Lohr have all earned top Midwest Region honors for the indoor season.
Delia earned the Women's Midwest Track Athlete of the Year after her performances during the indoor season. She won the 800 meters at the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, clocking 2:07.69 to become the seventh-fastest performer in NCAA DIII history.
Earlier in the season, Delia scored 10.5 points at the UAA Indoor Championships, which included a 2:14 split on the 800-meter leg of the meet-record-setting distance medley relay.
Williams earned the Women's Midwest Region Assistant Coach of the Year award after his athletes played a pivotal role in helping WashU win the team title at the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships. The Bears scored 13 points in the sprints, which included a meet-record victory in the 4×400 relay where they ran 3:44.54.
Williams-coached athletes also put up 63 points at the UAA Indoor Championships with multiple top-five finishers in the 60 meters and 400 meters, plus a victory in the 200 meters, among other scoring finishes.
Lohr was named the Men's Midwest Region Assistant Coach of the Year after another stellar season by the men's pole vaulters. He also won the award for both the indoor and outdoor seasons last year. Lohr coached five Bear pole vaulters to qualify for the NCAA DIII Indoor Championships, scoring 17.5 points with a 3-4-5-6-13 collection of places.
His vaulters went 1-2 at the UAA Indoor Championships, with both breaking the UAA record by 11 cm at 5.07 m (16-7½). His vault group rated No. 1 nationally in the #EventSquad Rankings.
WashU is already back on the track this weekend as they compete at the Central Methodist Invite on Saturday, Mar. 21 in Fayette, Mo. Field events get underway at 10 a.m., while running events start at 12 p.m.
