Washington U. Divers Compete at Principia Diving Invite

Elsah, Ill., Jan. 31, 2015 – Four divers from Washington University in St. Louis combined to post six season-best marks at the Principia Diving Invitational Friday and Saturday.

Freshman Laura Barber had the highest finish of the weekend for Washington U., placing second in the women's 3-meter diving event with a score of 381.35, which was more than 57 points better than her previous season-best. Barber added a fourth-place finish in the 1-meter diving with a score of 375.25, while sophomore Emily Ramos increased her season-best in the event by 44 points to place third with a score of 386.80.

Freshmen Ryan Nathenson and Fernando Rojo competed at the meet for the Washington U. men. Nathenson placed sixth in the 1-meter diving with a season-best score of 340.70, and posted another season-best in the 3-meter diving to place fifth with a score of 317.85. Rojo improved his 3-meter diving score by 104 points, finishing seventh with a score of 286.30.
