Richmond, Va. – The Washington University in St. Louis men's and women's swimming and diving teams were recently named Fall Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
Both teams finished the semester with combine 3.73 grade-point averages (GPA). On the women's side, the Bears finished tied for third in the nation while the men's team ranked fourth among all Division III teams.
For the men, the UAA was one of two Division III athletic conferences to place 100 percent of its members on the Scholar All-America list. For the women, the UAA was one of six conferences. To be eligible, teams had to combine for a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale for the fall semester.
In total, 804 teams from 479 institutions were named to the Scholar All-American teams for fall 2022, across all divisions. Teams were selected on the basis of their fall 2022 team GPA and represent a total of 19,426 student-athletes.
