Swimming and Diving Teams, 26 Individuals Earn CSCAA Scholar-All America Honors

TEAM RELEASE | INDIVIDUAL RELEASE

Richmond, Va. – The Washington University in St. Louis swimming and diving programs were named College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Teams for the spring 2022 semester, the organization recently announced.

In total, 731 teams from 441 institution were named to the Scholar All-America Team, representing 17,845 student-athletes. To be recognized, teams must have achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher.

The men's team finished with a 3.70 GPA while the women finished with a 3.76 GPA.

Additionally, a total of 26 student-athletes – 13 men and 13 women – were named to the CSCAA Scholar All-American Team for the 2021-22 season. To achieve this honor, student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.50 or higher and have been invited to compete at their respective national championship.

First-Team Scholar All-America selections must have a 3.5 GPA or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections also must have a 3.5 GPA or higher and achieved a "B" time standard for the national championship.

On the men's side, First-Team selections include Austin Bick, Barclay Dale, Pace Edwards, Kevin Hao, Ryan Hillery, Nathan Katz, Mason Kelber, Mark Lipkin, Jonathan Ma and Alexander McCormick. Second-Team selections include Jeffrey Forbes, Jonathan Kim and Matthew Larsen.

For the women, First-Team selections include Lauren Antonowich, Grace Carey, Noelle DiClemente, Eve Kearns, Kayleigh Lewis, Sandra Meszaros and Grace Wakiyama. Second-Team selections include Caroline DeLuca, Alice Han, Abby Liff, Alice Mao, Riyapreet Sahota and Maggie Teng.

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and professional development.
