SEASON PREVIEW: #7 Golf

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Washington University in St. Louis golf team, which is currently ranked No. 7 nationally, opens its spring season this weekend at the Centre College Classic in Pinehurst, N.C.
 
Last season, the Bears earned a bid to the NCAA Championships where they finished fifth as a team. This fall, WashU finished third at the UAA Championships as well as third at the UC Santa Cruz Invite. WashU took fourth at Carnegie Mellon's Tartan Invitational, fifth at the Golfweek DIII Preview and sixth at Christopher Newport's The Historic Triangle Invitational.

Schedule
Following the Centre College Cassic on Saturday, Feb. 21 and Sunday, Feb. 22, WashU makes the trip to Savannah, Ga. for the Savannah Invitational hosted by Berry on Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 10.
 
The Bears host their annual WashU Spring Invite on Sunday, March 29 and Monday, March 30 at the Crowne Point Golf Club in Farmington, Mo. During the invite, they will celebrate their seniors.
 
On Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12, WashU travels to Illinois Wesleyan for the Kathy Niepagen Spring Fling and close out the regular season on Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19 at Emory's Deb Jackson Invitational.
 
This year's NCAA Championship will be held from May 19-22 at the Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, Calif.
 
Personnel
Four Bears' from last year's NCAA Championship squad are back on the links – senior No. 155 Tiffany Chan, juniors No. 18 Amy Beanblossom and No. 101 Reagan Robinson and sophomore No. 47 Nicole McGuire. Additional returners for WashU are sophomore Mabrie McMahan and senior No. 34 Athena Nguyen.
 
In 2025, Chan earned First Team All-UAA honors.
 
Joining the returning Bears are a group of talented first-years in Angela Chen, No. 24 Saxon Skinner and No. 55 Jessy Young.
