PINEHURST, N.C. – The No. 7 Washington University in St. Louis golf team leads the Centre College Classic following the first day of competition. Competition is being held at the Pinehurst Resort and Country Club which is a par 72 course spanning 6,089 yards.
The Bears are in first with a score of 291.
Junior
Amy Beanblossom leads all competitors with a first-round score of 69.
First-year
Saxon Skinner is tied for second with a 71. First-year
Jessy Young is tied for ninth with a 75.
Sophomore
Nicole McGuire is tied for 12
th with a score of 76. Senior
Tiffany Chan is tied for 14
th with a 77.
The Bears conclude competition tomorrow with the first tee time at 7 a.m.
