Stone Inducted into WBCA Hall of Fame

Lisa Stone playing 1WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. – Washington University in St. Louis women's basketball head coach Lisa Stone was inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame on Sunday for her playing career at Oregon High School.
 
Stone previously was inducted into the same Hall of Fame in 2022 for her coaching career.
 
In her time as a player at Oregon High School, she helped the team qualify for the Wisconsin state basketball tournament twice in Class A, the largest of the three classes. As a junior, Stone earned second team all-state honors and went on to pick up first team honors as a senior.

Stone went on to play collegiately at the University of Iowa before coaching at Cornell College, UW-Eau Claire, Drake, Wisconsin and Saint Louis University. She was hired to lead the Bears in 2024 and during the 2025-26 season, WashU reached the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2018-19.
 
Stone and the Bears open the season on Friday, Nov. 6 against Central at 5 p.m. in the 25th Annual McWilliams Classic.
