Men's Track and Field

No. 7 WashU Men's Track & Field Has Strong Showing At Two Meets Over Weekend

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- For the second week in a row, the No. 7 Washington University in St. Louis men's indoor track and field team traveled east to Terre Haute, Ind., this time for the Rose-Hulman Classic at the SRC Complex.

No team scores were kept at the meet.

Top Finishers
  • Long Jump
    • Sophomore Jared Dawkins finished third with a leap of 6.15m
    • Senior Jalen Dural also finished in the top with a distance of 6.00m to take home sixth place.
  • Triple Jump
    • Junior Nathan Scherer was runner-up wit a distance of 13.02m
    • Dawkins and Dural were third and fourth with leaps of 12.69m and 12.47m, respectively
  • Weight Throw
    • Sophomore Ian Murphy finished ninth with a throw of 14.74m
  • High Jump
    • Senior Eli Goldman claimed the win with a clear of 1.92m
  • Pole Vault
    • First-year William Coyne was runner-up with a clear of 4.55m
  • DMR
  • 60m Hurdles
  • 400m
    • Sophomore Benjamin Kruger was third overall with a time of 52.14 for the Bears
  • 800m
  • 200m
  • 3000m
  • 4x400m
 
A number of Bears also competed in Columbia, Mo. at the Dr. Rick McGuire Invitational hosted by Mizzou. The meet comprised nearly all Div. I programs.

    • Junior William Frohling finished third wit a time of 1:51.97
    • Senior Brandon Brazil also finished top 10 with a ninth place finish in a time of 1:54.32
  • Pole Vault
 WashU will compete next Saturday, Feb. 7 at the annual Keck Select Invite hosted by Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington, Ill. at the Shirk Indoor Track.
