Competing Day Early Doesn't Affect No. 12 Men's Track And Field At Wildcat Invite

CANTON, Mo. -- The No. 12 Washington University in St. Louis men's outdoor track and field team had to make a quick adjustment this week as their regularly scheduled meet was canceled due to incoming weather. The Bears were able to enter several athletes into the Wildcat Open, hosted by Culver-Stockton College on Friday.

    • First-year Ian Murphy finished 11th in a field of more than 30 with a throw of 37.7m
  • Long Jump
    • Junior Carson Page finished fifth with a leap of 6.47m on his second attempt
  • Triple Jump
    • Sophomore Nate Scherer finished fifth with a leap of 13.65m
  • Javelin
    • First-year Maulama Kimata was third in the event with a throw of 48.13, moving up from fifth on the final attempt.
  • 1500m
  • 400m
    • Junior Brandon Brazil finished with a time of 51.26 to finish as the even runner-up
  • 800m

  • 400m Hurdles
  • 5000m
    • Junior Alexander Bullard was runner-up with a time of 15:52.41 with first-year Joshua Poeschel finishing third with a time of 16:17.32

    • The WashU A team won the event in 3:19.09
 
WashU will next look to defend its UAA Outdoor title a the 2025 UAA Outdoor Championships, Saturday, April 26 through Sunday, April 27 in Ichan Stadium. NYU is serving as the host institution.
