No. 6 Men's Outdoor Track And Field Gets Several Top Marks at Greenville Select

GREENVILLE, Ill. – The week off from a meet did not dampen the No. 6 Washington University in St. Louis men's outdoor track and field team on Saturday at the Greenville Select Meet.
Top Finishes:

High Jump
- Junior Eli Goldman took fifth with a height of 1.83m.
Pole Vault
- Graduate Tommaso Maiocco set a new school record with his cleared attempt at 5.18m. It is also now the new top mark in Div. III this spring.
- Sophomore Peter Lichtenberger finished in fourth with a height of 5.05m while junior George Bourdier was fifth with a height of 4.95m.
5000m
- WashU finished with the top four placers in the event.
- Junior Maxwell Latshaw, first-year Josh Poeschel, sophomore Russell Kramer, and senior Alexander Gadin beat everyone else in the field, in order.
- Their times were 15:19.75, 15:33.60, 15:37.30, and 15:48.05, respectively.
1500m
- The Bears were 1-2-3 with sophomore William Frohling, first-year Caleb Brox, and sophomore Calvin Crossland all placing.
- Frohling finished in 3:58.75, Brox finished in 3:59.13, and Crossland finished in 4:02.06.
110m Hurdles
- First-year Liam Elliott was third with a time of 15.61 while senior Loucas Xenakis finished right behind him in fourth with a time of 16.53
800m
- Junior James Corbett cross the finish line first with a time of 1:52.76
- Senior Frankie Lynch as second to cross with a time of 1:54.18
400m Hurdles
- Elliott took home third place with a time of 59.47
Steeplechase
- It was a 1-2-3 finish for the Bears.
- Sophomore Will Liu took home the top spot in a time of 9:37.57
- Senior Charlie Fallon was second with a time of 9:47.93
- First-year William Ruszkowski was third with a time of 9:48.67
4x400m
- The WashU "A" team finished fourth with a time of 3:17.84.

WashU will be back in action next Saturday, April 19 when it travels to Missouri S&T for the Dewey Allgood Invitational.
