ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Washington University in St. Louis Men's track and field team hosted the 2025 WashU Invite on Saturday at Bushyhead Track and Francis Olympic Field for their first full meet of the season.
Despite final results displaying event points and team scores, no scores were kept at the meet.

- Discus
- First-year Ian Murphy finished in eighth place with a throw of 37.96m
- Pole Vault
- Sophomore Peter Lichtenberger finished with the same height cleared as graduate Tommaso Maiocco of 5.05m
- Due to tiebreakers of when they cleared the height, Lichtenberger finished first and Maiocco finished second.
- High Jump
- Junior Eli Goldman finished fourth despite clearing the same height as the third place finisher.
- Due to the tiebreaks like in the pole vault, it came down to which attempt did the cleared height happen on.
- 1500m
- 400m
- 100m
- Junior George Bourdier finished 13th in a 37 athlete event with a time of 11.01
- 800m
- WashU had two of the top five finishers with junior James Corbett winning the event in a time of 1:52.68.
- Classmate Brandon Brazil was fifth with a time of 1:54.94
- 200m
- Bourdier was runner up with a time of 21.42
- Senior Elvin Binagi was sixth in the event with a time of 22.07
- 400 Hurdles
- First-year Benjamin Kruger was fourth in his first outdoor event with a time of 55.70
- 3k Steeplechase
- 4x400
- It was a tight finish and the WashU team of Binagi, Frohling, sophomore Alexander Gardner and Brazil finished third with ai time of 3:16.71, just 0:00.21 behind second place
WashU will next compete at the SIU Saluki Fast Start on Saturday, April 5 in Carbondale, Ill.
