CHICAGO, Ill. – The success from day one carried over to day two for the No. 18 Washington University in St. Louis men's indoor track and field team as they finished fourth in the team standings at the 2025 UAA Indoor Championships.
Chicago (164 points), Emory (142.5 points), and Carnegie Mellon (100.5 points) finished in the top three of the team standings, respectively. The Bears (90 points) outdistance themselves from fifth place Case Western Reserve (58 points).
Top Finishes from Sunday:
- Pole Vault
- UAA Champion! Sophomore Peter Lichtenberger took the title with a height of 4.96m, a UAA record.
- Junior Hayden Kunkel was runner-up with a height of 4.76m while senior Tommaso Maiocco was fourth with a height of 4.46m
- Their finishes added 22.5 points for the Bears
- 1 Mile
- Junior James Corbett finished fifth with a time of 4:18.29
- He added four team points.
- 400m
- 800m
- Sophomore William Frohling finished third with a time of 1:54.29, a season best
- Junior Brandon Brazil finished seventh in the event in a time of 1:56.10, a PR
- They combined for eight team points
- 200m
- Junior George Bourdier was runner-up with a time of 22.16, a PR while senior Elvin Binagi was fourth in a time of 22.64.
- They notched 13 team points
- 3000m
- Both junior Oliver Witt (8:28.14 – third place) and senior Matthew Hornung (8:34.43 – eighth place) earned team points
- They combined for seven points
- 4x400 Relay
- The team of Binagi, Brazil, Corbett, and Frohling finished in second place with at time of 3:23.08
- They added the final eight points for the Bears.
