FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The No. 17 Washington University in St. Louis men's basketball team will play in the national semifinal for the first time since 2009 on Thursday night at 8 p.m. ET. The Bears take on No. 1 NYU at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Tickets for the event are $15 for adults (in team block with code EDWARDS), $25 for adults (outside team block) and $20 for children two to 12 and seniors. Tickets can be purchased

About the Bears – Schedule | Roster | Stats
The Bears come into the Final Four weekend with a record of 23-6. After earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, the Bears defeated Central College in the opening round (82-75) and Franklin in the second round (83-54). WashU went on to beat No. 22 Wisconsin Lutheran in the Sweet 16 (59-56) and No. 5 UW-La Crosse in the Elite 8 (80-66).

Thursday's game marks the third time this season the Bears will take on the Violets. In the first game, when NYU was ranked No. 5, the Bears fell 77-62. In the second meeting, when NYU was No. 3, WashU lost 77-58.

Hayden Doyle who averages 17.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game and has a team-high 100 assists on the season. Senior
Drake Kindsvater is averaging 14.1 points and a team-high 7.6 rebounds per game and is coming off a career day of 31 points and 16 rebounds in the Elite 8. First-year
Connor May is also in double-figures with 11.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game and a team-high 19 blocks.

As a team, WashU has outscored opponents 2,314-1,937 this season, an average of 13 points per game. The violr have also outrebounded opponents 1,159-916, an average of 8.4 per game.

May was named the UAA Rookie of the Year (fifth in program history) while Doyle picked up First Team All-UAA Honors and Kindsvater earned a spot on the second team. Doyle was recently named NABC First Team All-District and D3hoops.com First Team All-Region. Earlier today, Doyle was named an NABC Third Team All-America selection.

Scouting No. 1 NYU – Schedule | Roster | Stats
The Violets have just one loss this season and enter the Final Four at 28-1. The lone loss was in conference play against Emory on January 17 when they lost 77-65. After winning the UAA and earning the automatic bid, the Violets defeated Cortland in the first round (72-36) and York (Pa.) in the second round (62-52). They went on to host the next weekend, beating Hardin-Simmons in the Sweet 16 (91-59) and Redlands in the Elite 8 (75-65).

Five Violets are averaging double-figures, led by Tristan How with 15.0 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Brock Susko is at 12.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game and Zay Freeney is averaging 12.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Hampton Sanders sits at 11.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per game and Jack Stone is averaging 10.3 points and 3.0 rebounds.

Recently, Head Coach Dave Klatsky was named the NABC District IV Coach of the Year and How was named the NABC District IV Player of the Year and to the D3hoops.com All-Region First Team. Freeney picked up second team honors from the NABC and third team honors from D3hoops.com and Susko also earned third team honors from D3hoops.com.

Scouting No. 3 Wesleyan – Schedule | Roster | Stats
Wesleyan enters its first-ever Final Four with a 30-1 record. After earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament, the Cardinals defeated Delaware Valley in the first round (72-50) and Gettysburg in the second round (82-60). They went on to defeated WPI in the Sweet 16 (66-50) and topped Emory in the Elite 8 in overtime (61-58). Much like the WashU-NYU matchup, Wesleyan will also be facing off with a conference foe in Trinity. The Cardinals fell to Trinity in the conference final.

Shane Regan leads the Cardinals with 18.1 points per game to go with 4.8 rebounds per game. Nicky Johnson is at 13.5 points and 4.3 rebounds per game while Jackson Cormier is at 8.4 points and a team-high 6.4 rebounds per game.

Scouting No. 4 Trinity (Conn.) – Schedule | Roster | Stats
This marks Trinity's second-straight appearance in the Final Four after falling to eventual national champion Trine in the semifinal last season. The Bantams enter the Final Four with a record of 28-3 and earned the NESCAC automatic bid after beating Wesleyan in the conference final. Trinity defeated Neumann in the first round (76-60) and Keene State in the second round (93-78). The Bantams went on to beat Western New England in the Sweet 16 (79-42) and Catholic in the Elite 8 (86-63).

Henry Vetter leads the team with 16.0 points per game as well as 4.2 rebounds per game. Jarrel Okorougo is at 12.3 points and a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game while Drew Lazarre is at 11.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game.

Okorougo was named NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the first team. Vetter picked up his second-straight first team honor while Lazarre claimed a second team nod. Additionally, Vetter was named NABC First Team All-District and D3hoops.com First Team All-Region while Okorougo was named D3hoops.com First Team All-District and NABC Second Team All-Region.

The 2025 Championship
The 64-team, single-elimination tournament consists of 43 automatic qualifiers and 21 at-large bids. The semifinals and championship will be held at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on March 20 and 22.
