KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Washington University in St. Louis men's basketball sophomore
Connor May picked up a pair of postseason awards – D3hoops.com First Team All-Region 8 and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) First Team All-District 8. He is now eligible to receive All-America honors from both organizations.
May was the leading scorer and rebounder for the Bears this season on team which reached the Sweet 16 and finished 20-8 overall.
The Palatine, Ill. native averaged 17.3 points and 7.2 rebounds per game in addition to leading the Bears with 37 steals and 27 blocks on the season. His 485 points this year puts him at a career total of 841.
Additionally, May shot a 38.8% clip from 3-point range (64-for-165) and had 53 assists on the year. He finished the year with four double-doubles, including a 19-point, 17-rebound performance against Carnegie Mellon in January.
On March 3, May was named First Team All-UAA, marking his second-career All-UAA honor.
