ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Despite not competing in any events on day two of the 2025 NCAA Div. III Indoor Track and Field National Championships, the No. 32 Washington University in St. Louis men's track and field team had something to celebrate.
The Bears scored nine points on Friday with sophomore
Peter Lichtenberger finishing third and graduate
Tommaso Maiocco finishing sixth in the pole vault. The DMR team narrowly missed scoring with a 10th place finish.
With their top eight finishes, both Lichtenberger and Maiocco earned First Team All-American honors. Since junior
George Bourdier finished in a tie for ninth in the pole vault, he earned Second Team All-American honors.
The nine points saw the Bears in a tie for eighth place. After all 17 events concluded, WashU finished in a tie for 20th place.
