ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has release the names of those earning All-Region honors this afternoon and seven members of the No. 13 Washington University in St. Louis women's cross country team have been selected.

Sophomore Sally Carrington, senior Riley Clark, senior Jillian Heth, sophomore Lucinda Laughlin, sophomore Maddy Lee, sophomore Lauren Raley, and senior Katie Rector have all earned USTFCCCA All-Midwest Region honors for finishing in the top-35 at the Midwest Regional meet this past Saturday. 

The Bears claimed the Midwest Region team championship thanks in large part to Laughlin who claimed the individual regional title, finishing the 6K course in 21:29.7.

Heth was barely a second behind to claim runner-up honors with a time of 21:30.8. Rector was the third on the team to cross the finish line in eighth place with a time of 22:03.5. Raley and Clark went back-to-back in 15th and 16th places with times of 22:20.9 and 22:22.3, respectively, to close out scoring for the Bears.

Lee (21st – 22:38.6) and Carrington (28th – 23:00.2) also ran for WashU.

With the regional team title, Washu earned the automatic bid as a team for the 2025 NCAA Championships this Saturday, Nov. 22 in Spartanburg, S.C.
