ROME, Ga. – The Washington University in St. Louis women's tennis team saw all players advance to Saturday at the ITA Cup held at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Ga.
Singles
Senior
Eliana Hanna lost in the quarterfinal to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps' Ananya Sriniketh 6-1, 2-6, 6-7 (7-9). She will play in the North bracket semifinal tomorrow at 9 a.m. ET against Carnegie Mellon's Jane Ling Chun Wong.
Junior
Eleanor Archer won her West bracket semifinal match against Gustavus Adolphus' Kaya DeBruijn 7-6 (7-5), 6-1. She advances to play NYU's Victoria Wang tomorrow in the semifinal at 9 a.m. ET.
Doubles
Archer and first-year
Caitlin Bui defeated Wesleyan's Kendall Smith and Lara Afolayanka 7-6 (8-6), 6-4 in the West bracket quarterfinal. The duo moves on to the semifinal tomorrow against Bethel's Lauryn Douglas and Michaella Sullivan at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Hanna and sophomore
Ally Lin also won their West bracket quarterfinal match, beating Skidmore's Amelie Gonzalez and Ginevra Muratori 6-4, 4-6, 10-5. They will face Johns Hopkins' Sahana Madala and Claire Loftus tomorrow in the semifinal at 3:30 p.m. ET.
The Bears continue competition at the ITA Cup tomorrow. The rest of the team will play at the WTN Tournament, held at Forest Park.
