KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Washington University in St. Louis men's basketball junior
Hayden Doyle earned 2023-2024 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-America Second Team honors, the organization announced on Wednesday.
Doyle is the 11
th men's basketball player in program history to earn an NABC All-America nod. This marks his first-career All-America honor and comes on the heels of a NABC First Team All-District nod as well as a d3hoops.com First Team All-Region 8, that were both announced yesterday.
An All-UAA First Team honoree, Doyle led the Bears to the program's ninth Sweet 16.
Doyle eclipsed 1,000-career points on March 1 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament as he scored 13 to become the program's 26
th player in history to reach the milestone. He wrapped up his junior season with 1,036 career points.
In his third year with the Bears, Doyle scored 428 points for a 15.3 points-per-game average. He also pulled down 140 rebounds for 5.0 rebounds per game, had 97 assists and 32 steals.
Doyle tied his career-high 28 points on Dec. 30 at Wabash and had a career-high 11 rebounds on Nov. 17 against Babson in the first game of the Lopata Classic.
In his career at WashU thus far, Doyle has played in all 83 games with 82 starts. He averages 33.0 minutes per game and has a career scoring average of 12.5 points per game.
Doyle will return as one of the top threats in the UAA to lead the Bears during his senior campaign in 2024-25.
