Okon Finishes Second on 1-Meter on Day One of NCAA Diving Regionals

RESULTS
 
San Antonio, Texas – The Washington University in St. Louis divers wrapped up day one of the NCAA Regional, hosted by Trinity (TX) on Friday.
 
First-year Madison Okon finished second on the 1-meter board, behind Emory's Ren Watt. Okon posted an 11-dive score of 413.00 to secure second. Okon scored her highest point total on her final dive, a back one somersault, one-and-a-half twist free, which was 44.85 total points.
 
Fellow first-year Shanze Karimi finished fourth on the 1-meter with a score of 400.40.
 
Junior Noa Miller posted a sixth-place score of 387.95 and junior Roslyn Tischke finished seventh with a score of 380.85.
 
Graduate student Rosie Finglass finished 18th with a score of 345.30.
 
The Bears close out regionals tomorrow with the 3-meter.
