CARBONDALE, Ill. – The Washington University in St. Louis men's track and field team started its 2024-25 season with an indoor meet at the annual Saluki Fast Start, hosted by SIU.

Top Finishers
- Pole Vault
- Junior Hayden Kunkel took home the top mark in the pole vault with a height of 4.65m.
- Junior George Bourdier tied for second with a height of 4.65m while sophomore Peter Lichtenberger finishing fourth with a mark of 4.50 meters.
- Tiebreakers were broken on when an athlete successfully cleared a height attempt.
- High Jump
- Junior Jalen Dural tied for fourth with a height of 1.90m
- 600m
- The Bears finished with the top three times as junior Brandon Brazil led the way with a time of 1:22.78.
- First-years Gavin Zeitz and Alex Feingold-Black were second and third with times of 1:25.36 and 1:27.57, respectively.
- 800m
- Sophomore William Frohling took first place with a time of 1:55.65, over three seconds ahead of second place from SLU
WashU will next compete at the John Craft Invitational hosted by Eastern Illinois on Saturday, January 18, 2025 in Charleston, Ill.
