LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team will play in the national semifinal for the second-straight year and the seventh time in program history on Friday afternoon. The Bears take on No. 2 Christopher Newport at 2:30 p.m. PT for a chance to reach the national final for the fifth time.
All games will be played at UNLV's Peter Johann Memorial Field. The venue opens one hour prior to game time with tickets at $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors and $5 for children 10 and under. Fans can purchase tickets

WashU
The Bears come into the Final Four weekend with a 21-0-2 record after sitting atop the national standings for the majority of the season. After winning the UAA title, WashU defeated DePauw 2-0 in the first round and moved on to beat Simpson 5-1 in the second round. The Bears defeated Colby 1-0 in the Sweet 16 and beat UAA-foe Chicago 1-0 in Elite 8. WashU and Christopher Newport will face off for the first time ever on Friday at 2:30 p.m. PT.
First-year
Olivia Clemons leads the offensive efforts with 20 goals and six assists on the year. Junior
Grace Ehlert has 14 goals and one assist on the year and sophomore
Madi Foley has six goals and one assist. Graduate goalkeeper
Sidney Conner has allowed just seven goals on the year while earning nine shutouts and making 40 saves.
Clemons was named both UAA Offensive Player of the Year and UAA Rookie of the Year, the first time the same player has earned both honors in the same year. Conner, Ehlert and graduate student

Emma Riley McGahan and sophomore
Sophie Viscovich both earned an honorable mention.
Five Bears earned United Soccer Coaches First Team All-Region VIII honors: Conner, Hackett, Ehlert, Viscovich and Clemons. Conner, Hackett and Ehlert all went on to earn First Team All-America honors.
On Thursday evening, it was
announced that sophomore
Regan Cannon earned the Elite 90 Award, becoming the first WashU women's soccer player to do so. The Elite 90 Award is given out to the student-athlete with the highest GPA at the championship site.
Scouting No. 2 Christopher Newport
CNU enters the final weekend with a record of 19-1-2. The Captains defeated John Jay 12-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament followed by a 4-0 win over Vassar in the second round. CNU defeated No. 16 Misericordia 1-0 in the Sweet 16 and topped No. 18 Johns Hopkins 3-2 in the Elite 8 to earn a trip to the national semifinal. CNU's lone loss of the year was in the Coast-to-Coast (C2C) championship to UC-Santa Cruz, 2-0.
As a team, the Captains have outscored opponents 68-10. Hanna Heaton leads the charge with 14 goals – including three game winners – and 17 assists. Corinne Kulick has 10 goals with four assists and Emma Ricci has seven goals and seven assists.
Amy Sidaway has started 20 games in the net, racking up 1,688 minutes with 11 shutouts, 18 wins and 32 saves.
Five players from CNU earned All-Region honors. Ellie Cox, Heaton, Sidaway and Reanna Slater were all named to the first team and Nyah Savage earned a second-team nod. Heaton then earned First Team All-America honors while Cox was named to the third team and Slater earned a spot on the fourth team.
Heaton was named the C2C Offensive Player of the Year while Slater was named the C2C Defensive Player of the Year. Heaton, Cox, Slater and Sidaway all earned All-C2C First Team honors while Emma Ricci, Kulik, Kyleigh Gough and Savage earned a spot on the second team.
Scouting No. 11 William Smith
William Smith enters the weekend with a 16-3-4 record. The Herons defeated Penn State Harrisburg in the first round, 2-1 and went on to defeated No. 7 Tufts 2-1 in the second round. William Smith beat No. 9 Washington and Lee 2-0 in the Sweet 16 and topped Trinity 1-0 in the Elite 8 to earn a trip to the Final Four. The Herons lost to Ithaca College 3-2 on penalty kicks in the Liberty League tournament but earned an at-large bid.
Ruth Hotaling leads the Herons with six goals and 11 assists on the year. Kaleigh Darby, Marjorie Plants and Lindsay Ringbloom each have six goals and one assist this year. In the net, Kirsten Nelson has started all 23 games, allowing just 14 goals with 11 shutouts, 69 saves and 16 wins.
Plants and Hotaling both earned First Team All-Region honors while Ireland Krawczyk was named Second Team All-Region. Plants went on to earn Second Team All-America honors and Hotaling was named to the fourth team. Additionally, Plants was named Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year. Plants and Hotaling were both named to the first team, Krawczyk was named to the second team along with Ava Brazie and Nelson was named to the third team.
Scouting No. 23 Emory
Fellow UAA school Emory sits at 14-3-4 on the year. After earning an at-large bid, they defeated Methodist 6-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, followed by a win over Pacific Lutheran, 1-0, in the second round. The Eagles defeated Loras 4-3 on penalty kicks in the Sweet 16 and topped Amherst 1-0 in the Elite 8 to advance to the Final Four. The Bears played Emory on October 5, beating the Eagles 2-1.
Emory has outscored opponents 52-11, led by 11 goals and nine assists from Kaitlyn Nimmer. Mikayla Camp has nine goals and eight assists on the year while Emily Woodall has seven goals and two assists. Sophia Garcia has started all 21 games in goal, allowing just 11 goals. She has totaled seven shutouts and made 55 saves.
Nimmer was named First Team All-Region while Chayse Corfman and Michelle Davidson were named to the second team. Camp earned a spot on the third team. Nimmer went on to earn Fourth Team All-America honors. Davidson was named UAA Defensive Player of the Year while Nimmer and Corfman earned First Team honors. Claudia Schmidt and Camp both earned honorable mention.
