NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced its postseason awards on Tuesday morning and the Bears were well-represented on the list.
Headlining for WashU is first-year
Jack Middleton who was named CCIW First-Year Defensive Student-Athlete of the year. Middleton is the first WashU football player to earn a postseason specialty award from the CCIW.

Collin Goldberg and
Brendan Mayo earned a spot on the All-CCIW First Team Offense team while Middleton also was named to the All-CCIW First Team Defense squad.

Tyler Brooks and
Peter Lynch all earned a spot on the All-CCIW Second Team Offense list.

Joy Chane both picked up All-CCIW Second Team Defense honors and senior
Kenvorris Campbell earned the CCIW RESPECT Award.
In his first year with the Bears Middleton led the squad with 7.5 sacks and 15.0 tackles for loss, including three sacks in the final game of the year against Augustana. He had 28 total tackles including 21 solo with three pass breakups, five quarterback hurries, one forced fumble and two blocked kicks.
This marks Goldberg's third-straight All-CCIW First Team honor. He led the receivers with 666 yards on 56 catches and five touchdowns including a 96-yard run. Goldberg finishes his career at WashU in third for receiving yards with 2,729.
Mayo earns his second-straight CCIW honor after earning a second team nod a season ago. Mayo served as the anchor of the WashU offensive line for an offense that scored 398 total points and totaled 4,397 yards of total offense (1,940 passing, 2,457 rushing).
This is the third-straight CCIW second team honor for Hamilton, who led the Bears' rushing game with 636 net yards on 94 carries in just eight games. He scored seven touchdowns including a 58-yard run. Hamilton also made nine catches for 61 yards.
It is the first All-CCIW honor for both Brooks and Lynch, who were part of the Bears' offensive line that totaled 4,397 yards of total offense and scored 55 total touchdowns (18 passing, 34 rushing).
This is the second CCIW second team honor for Light who played in all 10 games, racking up 21 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one pass breakup and one quarterback hurry.
Chane earned his first All-CCIW honor, playing in nine games with 38 total tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, one sack, four quarterback hurries and one fumble recovery.
Campbell earned the CCIW RESPECT Award which is given to those who have distinguished themselves as an integral member of the team, their institution and community by upholding the values of Responsibility, Enthusiasm, Service, Pride, Excellence, Collaboration and Trust. The RESPECT Award recognizes the intangible traits a student-athlete possesses that exemplify great character and encourages inclusiveness and a positive culture.
