AFCA RELEASE
 
NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Washington University in St. Louis rising football senior Spencer Snipe has been named an Allstate American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Good Works Team nominee, the organization recently announced.
 
Snipe is among 175 nominees across all divisions for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, which recognizes student-athletes and head coaches from every level of college football who are making an impact through community service, academic achievement and leadership.
 
Along with football, Snipe is involved in a host of different activities at WashU. He is a Student Union senator, a member of the Black Men's Coalition, the events chair for the WashU Black Letterwinning Athletes Coalition (WUBLAC) and a member of the Phi Delta Phi Pre-Law Fraternity and Honor Society.
 
Additionally, in 2025 Snipe was selected by the Institute for Responsible Citizenship Washington program, a highly selective national initiative for talented Black male college students. He was one of just 12 scholars selected nationwide and participated the past two summers.
 
The 2026 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team will be announced in September and will include 22 student-athletes and one honorary head coach.
 
Snipe and the Bears begin the 2026 season on Saturday, September 5 at Rhodes before returning home on Saturday, September 12 for their first-ever game as a member of the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC), kicking off against DePauw at 1 p.m.
