Indianapolis, Ind. – The Washington University in St. Louis swimmers wrapped up day three of the NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday. The men's team is currently in ninth with 112 points while the women are currently in 18th with 33 points.
WOMEN
Junior Sandra Meszaros claimed fourth in the 200 butterfly, notching her fourth-career All-American honor with a time of 2:02.16. Meszaros set a new record for the Bears in the process.
In the 800 freestyle relay, the team of Meszaros, Lauren Waire, Lauren Antonowich and Kayleigh Lewsih finished 19th overall with a time of 7:38.28.
MEN
The 800 freestyle relay team of Mason Kelber, Pace Edwards, Ryan Hillery and Mark Lipkin finished fifth with a time of 6:33.60. This marks Kelber's eight career All-America honor and the third this weekend. This is the first career All-America honor for Edwards, Hillery and Lipkin.
Kelber set a new 200 freestyle team record with his leg of 1:37.42 and the relay team set a new program record.
Junior Jonathan Ma finished 13th overall and fifth in the consolation final of the 200 butterfly, swimming a time of 1:48.83.
Senior Kevin Hao finished second in the consolation final and 10th overall in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 54.55.
The championships conclude tomorrow with the 100 freestyle, 200 backstroke, 200 breaststroke, 400 freestyle relay and the 1,650 freestyle.
