First-year Drake Kindsvater scored on a three-point play after being fouled on a layup and then closed out the run with a shot from behind the arc.

Following the timeout, Brandeis went on a 6-0 run to cut into the Bears' lead, 12-10,, prompting WashU to call a timeout of its own.

The Judges took a 15-13 lead at the 12:21 mark, following a 3-pointer from Toby Harris. The Bears, however, hit back-to-back 3-pointers from Jacob and first-year Hayden Doyle, grabbing a 19-15 edge.

Following four more points from Brandeis, bumping the Judges' lead to 57-41, the Bears called a time out with 11:18 remaining.

WashU came out of the timeout to score four-straight on a jumper from Jacob and a layup from junior Kevin Davet. A pair of free throws from Doyle with just over nine minutes left, cut the Judges' lead to 61-49.

Down 15 with 4:25 left, Nolan hit a layup to cut it to a 13-point gap. However, 13 points was the closest the Bears would come for the remainder of the game, as Brandeis put in eight free throws in the final minutes en route to the 19-point victory.

In total, four WashU players reached double-figures. Nolan led all scorers with 22 points as well as five rebounds.
