No. 2 Women's Golf Falls in Dual to Lindenwood

Weldon Spring, Mo., Sept. 21, 2019 – Freshman Annie Mascot shot a 73 as the No. 2-ranked Washington University in St. Louis women's golf team shot a 305 in a dual match loss to NCAA Division II Lindenwood University Saturday at Whitmoor Country Club in Weldon Spring, Mo.      

Lindenwood fired a 300 as senior McKenna Montgomery claimed medalist honors with a 70. 

Mascot was second overall of the 13 golfers between the two teams, while senior Samantha Haubenstock was tied for third with a 74. Freshman Emmy Sammons was fifth overall with a 77, while senior Emily Carnes (81) and freshman Helen Ye (83) also was in the starting lineup for WashU.

Freshman Emma Lee (86) and sophomore Rachel Rhee (91) also competed as an individual for the Bears.

WashU has a week off before returning to action on Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 7-8, at The Tartan Invitational at Laurel Valley Country Club in Pittsburgh, Pa.
