No. 5/7 Golf Wins WashU Invite; Beanblossom Wins Individual Crown

FARMINGTON, Mo. – The No. 5/7 Washington University in St. Louis golf team won its 2026 WashU Invite with a two-day score of 588 (300, 288). Additionally, junior Amy Beanblossom was the individual champion.
 
The Bears' winning team included Beanblossom, first-year Saxon Skinner, first-year Jessy Young, senior Tiffany Chan and sophomore Nicole McGuire. WashU's "B" team, featuring junior Reagan Robinson, senior Athena Nguyen, sophomore Mabrie McMahan and first-year Angela Chen finished in fifth with a score of 633 (315, 318).
 
The tournament was held at the Bogey Creek Golf Club, a par 72, 5,816-yard course.
 
Beanblossom jumped four spots to on day two of competition to take the lead, winning with a score of 144 (75, 69).
 
Young finished tied for second with a score of 147 (74, 73) while Chan (76, 74) and Skinner (78, 72) tied for seventh with 150.
 
Robinson finished ninth with a 151 (79, 72). McGuire (75, 80) and Nguyen (77, 78) finished in a three-way tie for 14th with a 155.
 
Chen finished tied for 28th with a 160 (75.85) and McMahan tied for 43rd with a 167 (84, 83)
 
The Bears head to Illinois Wesleyan's Kathy Niepagan Spring Fling on Saturday, Apr. 11 and Sunday, Apr. 12 at the Ironwood Golf Course in Bloomington, Ill.
