ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 1 Washington University in St. Louis women's soccer team defeated Elmhurst 4-0 on Sunday afternoon to improve to 5-0 on the year. Prior to the game, the Bears honored their 10 seniors –

WashU took a 1-0 lead in the sixth minute on an own-goal header from Elmhurst. Less than one minute later, the Bears struck again as junior
Cami Colpitts netted a high goal in the seventh minute for a 2-0 advantage and her team-leading fifth goal of the season.
Nearly 30 minutes into the second half, in the 75
th minute, Viscovich took a pass from Moore and fired a high shot into the net, pushing the lead to 3-0. It was Viscovich's first goal of the season.
In the 78
th minute, junior
Emily Fox put in a header on a pass from Moore, extending the Bears' advantage to 4-0. Fox now has four goals on the year.
As a team, WashU outpaced Elmhurst 20-0 in shots, recording nine on goal. The Bears also edged the Bluejays 6-2 on corner kicks.
Foley led the Bears with four shots including two on goal. Moore recorded three shots with two assists while Fox had two shots, both on goal.
Shapiro earned her fourth shutout of the year in goal.
WashU is back home again next weekend when they welcome UC Santa Cruz, Rhodes and DePauw for a tournament. The Bears will take on UC Santa Cruz on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 1 p.m. and then face Rhodes or DePauw on Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
